The HALLOWEEN HARVEST COSTUME BALL is the brainchild of local artist and entrepreneur Brad Golden. Golden produces the costume ball with his wife Jennifer, Costuming and Prop Master, Dianne Coppenger, their creative team, friends and volunteers.
“I wanted to create something amazing that simply doesn’t exist here on the Central Coast. Think of it as Disneyland for adults,” says Golden.
The Central Coast LIVE! Event Team works for the entire year prior, planning, preparing and building props, assets and decorations that would rival a Hollywood-caliber movie set production.
Golden continues, “Most adults love Halloween and getting into costume. It gives one license to be someone else for the weekend and really taps into the child in us and our first costume ball in 2017 was a great example. People went all out — the costumes were amazing!”
The inaugural costume ball was held at Tooth & Nail Winery castle, in Paso Robles, California with hundreds of guests — both locally and from out of the area with some as far from out of state. With the success and large attendance of our their first event, the Central Coast LIVE! Events team are moving the costume ball to the Paso Robles Event Center at the Mid-State Fairgrounds in order to accommodate our growing fan base. The costume ball will take place inside the Adelaide Hall which will be transformed with sound, lighting, decor, fog, Special FX, props and more!
Burning James & The Funky Flames will be laying down the funkiest grooves Friday night and Paul Thompson will keep the house pumping with his Devilish Dance Party on Saturday night.
Food, wine, beer, cocktails and non-alcohol drinks will be available inside for purchase.
This is a 21-and-older, costume mandatory event. No admittance without costume.
We are selling a limited number of reserved seats which includes first glass of wine or beer, with food and drinks available inside for purchase. Seating will be available throughout the venue but with Reserved Seating Ticket, guests will enjoy reserved seating at round banquet tables near the stage and dance floor with wait staff offering tableside service. Please note, the reserved seats are first-come, first-serve as these are not assigned seats.

In 1988, Brad landed in California after serving with the United States Marine Corps. Brad went on to pursue his career as a digital artist providing marketing and advertising solutions for many recognized brands like Pfizer, American Red Cross, Entrepreneur Magazine and more. His ever-expanding skill sets cross many disciplines including photography, video, 3D animation and master prop builder.
After studying abroad in Florence, Italy and earning a Bachelor’s degree in Art from UC Santa Barbara Jennifer went on to earn her Master’s degree in Psychology. For more than 25 years, Jennifer has been an educator of the Arts, Humanities and Psychology for the Paso Robles Joint Unified School District, San Luis Obispo County Office of Education and Cuesta College. Jennifer has chaired the Paso Robles Chamber of Commerce Women in Business, served on the Board of the Paso Robles REC Foundation and is a member of the American Association of University Women.

For more than 30 years, Dianne has designed costumes and produced stage props, scenery and set design for local community theater as well as for high schools and colleges. Dianne brings exceptional talent and masterful artistry and quickly became the creative lead for the Central Coast LIVE! Design team.
