Please note, we’re moving the costume ball to the Paso Robles Event Center [Adelaide Hall Building] at the Mid-State Fairgrounds.
HOW DO I COMPETE?
Get creative with your costume and compete in the Grand Costume Competition both Friday and Saturday night! There will be a reservation table near the front entrance. Sign in at the table and our staff will take a photograph of you in your costume. There are five categories including Scariest, Funniest, Sexiest, Most Original and Best Couple. Five judges [one per each category] will peruse the photos and select their top five contestants. During the evening, each judge will locate and notify the top five contestants in their respective category that they’ve been chosen to compete on stage. If you enter the competition, you must be available to come on stage for judging when your name is called. Once on stage, the final winners of each category will be selected by costume ball attendees. The noise from applause and cheers of the audience will be measured in decibels by a digital “Applause-O-Meter” that will be displayed in real time on stage. Get more info about costuming and the event at our FAQ’s page HERE.
